2020 NPPA 5th Annual Legislative Day

February 20, 2020

NPPA members attended the 5th Annual NPPA Legislative Day in Lincoln. The events give NPPA members the opportunity to meet one-on-one with state senators to educate them on the oil and gas industry in Nebraska. We had a great turnout of members and I am very pleased to report that our group met with 19 state senators, Governor Pete Ricketts and Secretary of State Bob Evnen.

As is customary for the legislative day, members of the NPPA board hosted dinner for a small group of senators including chairman of the Natural Resources Committee Dan Hughes. The following morning NPPA members hosted a breakfast for legislators and staff. Each senator left breakfast with two handouts containing facts about the oil and gas industry’s positive economic impact in Nebraska and an informational letter from NPPA President Leon Rodak. Senators who did not attend the breakfast were hand-delivered the same packet.
